Nação Zumbi is a band from Brazil. I heard the song “Inferno” from their album Fome du Tudo on Tony Sarabia’s Friday night radio program on WBEZ 91.5. I was driving in the car and the song caught my attention. A heavy worldbeat sound with great guitar and drums. Nação Zumbi is a huge band in Brazil. Their ablum was not easy to find in the US. I managed to track down a copy of Fome de Tudo on ebay but you can find it on Amazon
Tony Sarabia wrote this about Nacao Zumbi:
“The music of Nacao Zumbi comes from the northeast of Brazil-home to the Cajun-y sounding forro music, which Nacao sometimes incorporates, along with other styles from that region.”
Fome de Tudo was produced by Mário Caldato Jr.. Mario C has produced many great albums but this Nacao Zumbi album is a work of Art, his Masterpiece!
This is one of my favorite albums. This is a desert island album. A sonic delight!

Check out their great video for the song Bossa Nostra:

BrandNewDay (NorthSouthConnect) is an American living in Brazil who follows Nacao Zumbi. Nacao Zumbi must be amazing live.
