I like this effect and the way it makes miniature worlds.

My trials:

I was experimenting on the day that Google announced their images from Life Magazine and saw this image of race cars. Remember when Matchbox cars came in a box?

This image was take at the Duxford air museum. Not really a tilt-shift, more of a focus blur effect. To me, it makes it looks like a model that was taken out of the box.

In December I bought a G9 with all of the goodies from David Ditzler who is a pro photographer based in Chicago. When I picked up the camera I asked him about tilt-shift. David gave me a great overview on tilt-shift and he showed me a lens by Hertblei that he uses for product shots.

I took some time lapse video with the G9 and need to make a tilt-shift video and post it for view.
